And I’d translate Angela’s last line as “The moment isn’t over.” Literal translations (in this case, yes, “The moment has not ended”) will always sound like Yodaspeak. You gotta have a few conversations in a language before you figure out how lame you sound and start learning the accent and slang that go with the grammar. Most native speakers will at least give you credit for believable effort.

I only slowed down a bit in my archive binge for the Spanish (I’m bilingual, albeit a bit rusty hence the slowing down) but I’m really wondering now…why are we in Mexican Telenovela mode?

Yeppers, that’s Spanish alright. I like to think that they were so excited by the breakthrough in their relationship, they couldn’t remember how to speak English. =OP

      Anyway, here’s a translation for the Spanish-impaired:

      Panel 1:
      David: This… This… was… yes.
Angela (I’m assuming that’s supposed to be “Si?” and not sip, because the latter isn’t a Spanish word): Yes?

      Panel 2:
David: But… what does this mean? That I have a chance? Or more than this?
Angela (If you can’t figure it out, I’m not about to translate it for you)

      Panel 3:
Angela: Remember when I told you to shut up and don’t ruin the moment?
David: Yes. But what does that have to do [literally to see] with….

      Panel 4:
Angela: The moment has not ended.
