No, I have not forgotten that the laundromat still needs to be moved back to its original spot. I will get to it. Eventually. Maybe.

Juno looks hawt!
must be alien for “that time of the month”
Since his mom is royalty, maybe it’s time for an arranged marriage.
Just wandered in here yesterday from… somewhere… the internet??? Anyway, just reached this page and was horrified that I reached the current day, and now have to wait to find out what the… many apostrophied word of doom means. Love this comic, great fun, was actually hooked at the third or fourth comic with the list of possible stains culminating in the line thought you were the atomic granny or something.
In the old days they used hyphens, but people started pausing too much at each syllable..
The only things that could have made it even scarier is if it were a palindrome and rhymed within itself… like Ha’yli’tet’hah’tet’ily’ah… see isn’t that like several magnitudes more scary?
And no, it isn’t his mom’s time of the month, or his sister’s birthday again… it is way worse. It is the coming of his Great Old One Grandmother… doesn’t her name have that Cthulu Mythos sound to it… and what is more fearsome then an Alien, Extradimensional, Demonic, Mother-In-Law/Cheek Pinching Grandmother to visit to a man under house arrest and his powerless son essential stuck at the same house until he can get his place of business moved back from the back yard to where it belongs.
Ok, time for some explaining!
I’ve worked on superhero MMO’s before, we need some backstory here!
Really? Mind if I ask your opinion on City of Heroes and DC Online then?
I was on Champions Online (pretty much all the environment fx, boss / critter fx, event zone fx, and weapon fx are mine), While CoH was still worked on in-house, we helped with testing on new stuff. I enjoyed playing it right up until when Cryptic split off from NCsoft and NCsoft removed our ftp accounts. DC I haven’t played, though have friends who worked on it. It didn’t come across as a game I was interested in playing at the time of launch. Haven’t played much MMO’s since I stopped working at Cryptic two years ago, but just recently jumped on Guild Wars 2, digging the action-y feel of combat in it, where movement actually plays into it.
Huh. Never played Champions. I’ll have to check it out.
Unfortunately, City of Heroes is dead. NCSoft killed it. Servers shut down on Nov. 30th. There is a fan effort underway to try and get them to sell the IP, but it doesn’t seem like they have any interest in selling what was a modestly profitable game to anyone else.
It remains to be seen WHY the game was shut down in the middle of production of a new content update with the staff being fired on the Friday before a 3-day weekend. It was a unique game that had the best character creator I’ve ever seen, a dev staff that was highly involved with the players, and continuing content updates for an 8+ year old game. It will be missed and I’ll never play another NCSoft product again.
Sister’s birthday again?
No. They already had a birthday arc with her and it wasn’t all doomsday-ey. Well, except for the doomsday device David gave her for her present. My money is on his mother’s birthday. Also, how in the nine hells do you pronounce that ultra-apostraphied word?
What’s his sister’s name again? I forgets.
To me, it seems like it would be pronounced, “Hay-lee-teeth”. Maybe dental work time?
After a quick look through the archives, David’s sister’s full name is Danielle Marie Elphaba Masters Xel’Hanai.
His mom is having her time of the month, huh?
