I miss David’s old “eyes” – you know, where the glasses covered them so they weren’t visible? Made him more comical. To me, he’s seemed to lack expression now that the eyes can be seen behind the glasses. I don’t know, its just weird now. Perhaps because that’s the way he started out and has been throughout much of the series…
I actually feel like there is more depth now that we can see the eyes. It’s not like they don’t change from pannel to pannel. Don’t get me wrong I loved the scenes where David would tilt his head down and his glasses would show a strange almost creepy reflection, but Armando can still do the hide the eyes thing on some pannels while keeping it like this on others if he chooses to – nothing is prohibitive.
Wow, your art has really improved since those days, Armando. I doubt the withholding of information is the culprit here, since that doesn’t strike me as something that most people would get as riled up about as Angie has.
Armando is using Juno to give us a blatant Red Herring… Juno is telling us the ‘obvious’ reason that by ockham’s razor we should believe in Atomic Laundromat-verse is the reason, but the truth is far worse… Angie hates Juno because a Seer told her about Juno breaking David’s Heart and making him unable to love anyone else in the future that is now an alternate tImeline that Juno herself preemptively eliminated as the main one here http://www.atomiclaundromat.com/2009/09/09/preemptive-strike/
Angie, even though she is dating David, still can’t get over Juno’s mistreatment of him and what she caused to happen, partly because she is concerned that the events of that timeline are still in the future, and does not know they were eliminated 3 years (-2 days) ago (But seriously, look at how much the artwork has changed in nearly 3 years… we talk about how it is improved, but you can really see the changes when you compare them like so), so still worries David will be ruined for all women by Juno.
Hey, wonder when, if ever, we’ll see Juno’s infamous dog, also mentioned in Preemptive Strike? It has been 3 years (real world time), does she even still have that dog?
Juno is assuming a lot. Maybe Angela just finds her annoying!
In the reverse forbidding panel, why don’t we see Juno’s tried eye?
Possibly because of the nexus of uncertainty that surrounds the Laundromat.

Information that could have saved a life, or stopped a financial disaster? Information that could have lead to proving someone’s innocence or guilt?
Has it already been said why she became a lawyer?

this may be the first time it’s been explained to david but the ladies have hashed it out already in the above^

I think it’s noteworthy that those three awkward dates haven’t actually happened yet.
Hmmm, some would argue they’ve been on 1 or 2 already
She knows she’s right… Is that a hunch, or can she still see that much?
I’m surprised at how much your style has changed since that last strip, Armando. You’ve improved a lot… Awesome. /)^3^(\
Neither; in the next to last panel, Juno indicates her interpretation to be based on experience.
“I’ve seen this before… It’s one of two reasons…”
My guess: It was, ‘No, you’re never going to get powers. Even of your own action.’
Or both! Maybe a seer told her that Juno would foresee an event and withhold the information from her and there is nothing she can do about it.
I like that idea, very crafty.
Juno’s explanation caused so many puzzle pieces to fall into place in my head, and possibly explains Angela’s motivations. However, I could be wrong.
Love the look on Juno in the shadows as she is using her spidey sense.
Also, WHOOO! First, POST SUCKERS!
Except that first post = last post on this site, since it sorts newest to the top. Armando is devious that way!
All too true.
