Back in Seattle from multiple work-related trips – and getting ready to fly out once more!
I’ll be going to Japan starting on March 26th with a bunch of my friends – we are pretty much traversing the island from top to bottom eating sushi, drinking Kirin and watching the cherry blossom trees err… blossom. I’m going to be leaving the site in capable hands though – some awesome cartoonist friends will be providing guest strips for your enjoyment while I’m away. I’ll be gone for 10 days total, plus a bit of recovery time (I’m excited for this trip, really).
Still, I’d love to get some extra help – I’m sure I’ll be wiped out and I don’t have enough strips in the backburner. So I turn to you guys for an open call for guest strips – keep it under 890 pixels wide, your choice of height, and with no profanity and send them in before March 26th – and you’ll have my eternal thanks and most probably a box of Pockys.
Also, if you have a spot or recommendation I should absolutely hit in Japan – leave me a note in the comments!.

Armando, this is a great storyline – LOVED this strip.
And I like how she’s casually putting on her glasses… not part of the story, just a fantastic animated quality you added and a good prop to cause casual movement. Bravo, sir!
Thanks you kindly sir! I think I will be able to add a lot of character development in this storyline, delving a bit more into Angela. I worry about focusing too much on one character, but you need to pick your battles with only three strips a week. By the way – working on a Gina piece for your fanart Fridays!

I wonder why she’s so bothered by Juno… I gotta say tho, the shades don’t really go with the blazer in my opinion. Unless that’s actually a leather jacket she’s wearing, tho i never had her envisioned as a biker chick… Eh, she should stick with the librarian glasses. As for your trip to Japan, dunno whether to congratulate you or die of jealousy lol. Have fun! And bring us souvenirs!
I’m REALLY having an off week with the fashion! I will probably correct it by next week. The storyline calls for Angela to be around with that outfit for a bit longer. I guess my life would be easier if she was always wearing the same thing. Charlie brown wore the same thing for like 75 years and nobody said a peep…
It IS standard for most comic strip characters to always wear the same thing. That’s why I loved your strip where the characters needed paper bags for masks
