Is it really that hard to figure out that Bob is a washing machine? Is it not common to have your washer/dryer talk back to you? Of course, when alcohol is involved a lot of things talk back to you.
At any rate, I like how this strip turned out. The first drunk hero is a pretty obvious reference (bonus points to whoever gets it), second whooping heroine is a concept for a comic I never utilized – Strike Force Omega or something equally generic – and the third little guy is “Red Menace”. He’ll show up more sober at a future time..
Hadn’t thought about it… but this puts a lot of sense into “the washing machine will call you on your cell phone when it’s done” from Two and a Half Men hehe
