Black gold

True fact: my first beer ever was a Guinness.  And I’ve loved it ever since.

For the non-initiated: this is not an exaggeration.  This is what Guinness actually looks like (albeit in cartoon form).  For more information, visit their homepage.  It is like, Ireland’s gift to the world.

On the self-indulgent posting front (basically: I own the page, so I’ll take advantage of it) a message to my good friend David G. — if you really are reading today’s comic… man, I’m sure you can do better things on yout honeymoon. Still, it was an awesome wedding this weekend!.

I don’t think I’ll be drinking guinness anymore without thinking about it.

Guinness is the only beer I even consider drinking, even then, only from the tap at that one bar that serves over-priced rum. It makes me sad, as I love rum.

Guinness is a real beer. The rest of my family likes much lighter beer like Heineken and, ugh, Sweetwater 420, and none of them get why I prefer what they describe as “liquid bread” over their watery stuff.

You lucky drinker… what a tasty way to enter the infinitely vast and intriguing world of beer. Speaking about that, when are you planning to visit so we can all go grab a cold one, the old GC staff? You can bring Bob, David and Angella over.

Finally, someone who appreciates real beer. Guinness is right up there, although I have a preference for Double Diamond, or more often Newcastle Brown Ale.

Budweiser, the King of Beers? Feh, I say!

    Armando,

Be sure to give George Killian’s Irish Red a try. Guinness was my first, too … but now I’m drinking the red.
